Wild about waste! Sam Oldfield from Suffolk Waste Management team visited Wilby School to work with our School Council and deliver workshops in every class. Sam’s message about food waste was enthusiastically received by the children and our Eco Council have begun their new action plan beginning with a focus on improving our recycling processes in school. It was a fantastic day which helped to underline the vital key messages about reducing food waste.

Coronation celebrations 5th May 2023

In class the children have been learning about the history and importance of the coronation of King Charles. They also dressed in red, white and blue and took part in an indoor (it was wet!) street party. Each class also produced some fabulous coronation related work which will be displayed in the village hall over the coronation weekend. To reflect the Kings passion for the natural world Wren Class produced some brilliant miniature gardens and Kingfisher Class reproduced the work of David Hockney using acrylic paint. Owl Class have produced some incredible films all about the Kings life and his work for different charities.
